AquaHelm

Privacy

Short, because there is little to describe.

Last updated 7 October 2026

AquaHelm collects no personal data. The app makes no network requests of any kind. Your aquariums, water readings, stock and notes are stored on your device and are never transmitted anywhere.

In detail

What the app stores
Everything you enter: aquariums and their volumes, water test readings, the species you keep and how many, target ranges you set by hand, and any notes. This is kept in the app's own storage on your device.
Where it goes
Nowhere. There is no AquaHelm account, no sign-in and no server. The species catalogue ships inside the app, so even that requires no connection.
Analytics and advertising
There are none. The app contains no analytics SDK, no tracking of any kind, no advertising, and no third-party code that reports on your use of it.
Permissions
The app requests none — no location, no camera, no contacts, no notifications.
Deleting your data
Delete the app. Everything it stored goes with it. There is no copy anywhere else for us to remove.
What Apple sees
Apple runs the App Store, so it records installs and purchases independently of us, and iOS may send crash reports to developers if you have turned that on in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. Those reports contain diagnostic information about the crash, not your aquarium records. This is Apple's mechanism and is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours. You can switch it off in the same place.
Children
The app collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
If this changes
Features that would need a connection — syncing your records between devices, for instance — are not in the app today. If any are added, this page will say so before they ship, and anything optional will stay off until you turn it on.
